Mr Russell H. Bartley, electrical engineer to the Te Kuiti Borough Council, has been appointed electrical tramways engineer to thu New Plymouth Borough Council. The housing of the road giaders and other implements of the Wnitomo County Council, was referred to on Monday evening by Cr Willis, and it was decided to erect sheds for the purpose at Otorohaoga and Pio Pio. When the subject of the eradication of noxious weeds was under discussion on Monday evening by the County Council, Cr Jackson said he questioned if it was much use attempting to eradicate the weeds when they were being Bown o?ery year with the grass and grain seed brought into the district. The secretary of the fe Kuiti Racing Club has received word from the secretary of the Racing Commission, now considering applications for permits under the Bill passed laat session, that in view of the Te Kuiti Racing Club now holding a totaliaator permit for one day, the Commission cannot consider the club's application for an extra permit.
