THE KARLSRUHE SUNK.
UNCONFIRMED REPORT. Received this day, 12.10 p.m. Ottawa, Tuesday. Private unconfirmed advices state the Karlsruhe has been sunk in a fight with the British «ff Grenada. A lifebuoy, marked "Karlsruhe,," was found on the shore, also much wreckage. Residents of Grenada report witnessing a battle at a great distance seaward.
