ATTEMPTING AERIAL INVASION.
FLEET SIGHTED OVER CHANNEL.
BAD WEATHER INfERVENES. London, Monday. A Zeppelin and three aeroplanes flew over Calais on-Saturday night in the direction of Dover. Sixteen aeroplanes were oyer the Channel on Saturday travelling towards England, but the weather compelled them to return. Special constables in several of the London suburbs were callud out when news of the (light of the aeroplanes was received.
A French aviator brought down a German at Amiens, the pilot and observer being killed.
A bullet pierced tha petrol tank and forced a French aviator and Belgian officer to descend at Zeebrugge. Both were taken prisoner A German aviator dropped bombs on Halo les Bains, near Dunkirk, killing five civilians. ■
