Aftar the Germans dropped bombs at Dunkirk, two Belgian airmen attacked s«jven German aeroplanes. It .was a thrilling encounter. The Belgians rose seven thousand feet and out-manoeuvred the enemy, who used mitrailleuses against them. The battle lasted forty-five mfrfiitas. Five Germans fled, and the others rose until the final phases were fought at nine thousand feet. Suddenly the Gsrmana crashed to the earth and were killed.. The seventh fled to Calais and dropped bombs whicH did no damage.
