CRICKET.
There has always existed ascertainamoiffitof rivalry the Tau : J rharunui Post Office and the local office, and on New Year's Day a cricket team from the latter office visited Taumarunui and succeeded in inflicting defeat on them to the-ex-tent uf an innings and 31 runs. The -Te Kuiti team speak' very highly of the hospitality received, every member thoreugly enjoying the trip. The following are the scores: —
