A communique states the enemy viulsntly bombarded the position from Lys to Somme. We progressed between Sorame and Argonre and repulsed several counter-attacks on the heights of the Meuse. We recaptured trenches and a redoubt at Boisbrule after three successive counter-at-tacks. We are closely investing Steinbach and following a violent ac tion seized the ruins of the chateau north-West o£ Steinbacb. '■
