' lsl lII' STOCK SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: NGARUAWAHIA SALE. On 11th inst. we held our monthly sale in the above yards, where we yarded 350 head of cattle and 65 sheep. There was a fair attendance of buyers, but bidding was none too brisk, especially on young cattle. We quote:—Thres vear bullockß £6, two year steers £4 14s, cows in fresh condition £5 to £6 9s, fat cows £B, cows and calves £6, eighteen months steers £3 15s to £3 IGa, yearling steers £2 Is to £2 10s« bulls £3 7s 6d to £6, weaner calves 18s to 28s, 2 tooth ewes and wethers mixed 16s 6d.
TE AROHA SALE
On the same day in the Te Aroha yards we yarded 221 head of cattle. Like Ngaruawahia young cattle were not wanted. We quote:—Fifteen months steers £3 to £3 10s, yearling heifers £2 Is, fat. cows £6 7s, freshconditioned cows £4 12s to £5 12s 6d, cows snd calves £5 Bs, empty two year heiferß £4 2s, two to two and a-half year steers £4 to £5, dairy cows £6 2s 6d.
CAMBRIDGE SALE.
In the Cambridgs yardß on 14th inst, we had a successful sale, most of the young cattle being sold privately. We quote: —Yearling heifers £2 3s to £3, eighteen months heifers in calf £3 12s 6d to £4, steer calves 22s to 265, heifer calves 16s, store cows £4 lis to £5 Ib, bulls £7 13s, dairy cows £6 7s 6d.
Newton King reports: —
On 15th inst., at Rahotu, I had a good yarding of good-framed, nice conditioned cattle, for which I had a ready sale at the following prices:— Well-grown 15 months Shorthorn heifers £2 19s to £3 Oa 6d, rough yearling steers £3 to £3 5s 6d, springing heifers £4 10b, yearling bulls £2 Bs, cows and calves £5 19s, two and ahalf year steers, good £5 15s, fair line of two year steers £4 19s, two and a-half to three year steers £7, heavy bulls £6 17b 6d to £l2 7s 6d, prime heavy fat cows £9 to £lO 4s, lighter cows £7 10s and £8 9b, forward cows £6 to £7 4s, store cows, good up to £5 16s, poor £3 7s to £3
