ALLIES STRONG ATTACK.
TRENCHES CARRIED IN FLANDERS.
Amsterdam, Monday,
A correspondent of the Tyd, a Dutch journal, says that the British and the Belgians carried out furious and irresiatibla attacki in West Flanders. The Flemings, 'singing their national anthem, dashed down upon tbe Germariß. The Dixmude bridgehead waa captured by a bayonet attack, supported by artillery. An advance was made northward of Dixmude. The Germans evacuated stronglyfortified trenches at Nieuport, leaving many dead. There were hand to hand fights at Saint Georges. The French cavalry have made splendid charges, but the Germans, despite great losses are fighting with great tenacity. ALLIES BAYONET CHARGES. WAIST DEEP IN WATER. Dunkirk, Monday. As a result of. a recent bayonet charge by' the Allies, seven of tba anemy's trenches on were captured in Flandsrs. Numbers have surrendered without resisting the Franco-Belgian bayonet charges.
