MAORI AGRICULTURAL BAND
Last Monday evening tha Maori Ag ricultural Militarv Band gave Te Kuitians a treat. The hall Was comfortably filled and the various selections of the band m9t with applause. Ths-glee singing of the company left nothing to be desired and the instrumental soles and stringed instrument items were features of tha evening. The conductor of tha band, Mr Smith, proved himself very versatile, and materially assisted the band in creatnig the good impression left amongst the patrons of the concert. We unhesitatingly recommend the entertainment from all standpoints, EMPRESS PICTURES. This evening the lset screening of "Lost in Mid ocean" will be support ed by an attractive programme and on Thursday evening a great star picture entitled "Her Wedding Gown" will be screened, backed by an absorbii g and instructive series of films. On Chri3taiag right onlv a beautifully coloured picture "The Birth of Christ" will be screened. PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE. The ninth instalment uf "Lucille Love" will again ba serann.ed this evening supported by a all-star prograram?. On Saturday afternoon tha management htve decided.to give a picture show, to- the children which will include some interesting pictures. A crowded house with the children ia what the management want, and parents ara invited to send the children along.
