The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At Matiere, on Wednesday, we had a small entry, yarding 1450. head of cattle, including 300 Jersey acid Holstein cress yearling heifers from Tsranaki. Owing to the number of heifers offering at the present time, competition was not too brisk, al though we quitted 200 of this line. Ws quote: —Three year steers in forward condition £8 163, fat cows £6 10s, two year steers £1 10s to £5 7s, yearling steers £2 16s to £3 5?, Jersey and Holstein cross yearling hei fers £2 9s ro £3.

At Pio Pio on Thursday we yarded 343 head of cattle, and aold al! but a few pens of yearling htifeia. We quote*: —Fat cows, light made £8 10a to £6 15a, two year steers £5 12s 6d, eighteen months steers £4 9s, yearling to fifteen month steers £2 lis to £2 163, yearling to 15 month steers £2 18s to £3 Is/bulla £4 10a to £6 2a 6d.

Drop in merinos; good greasy 10 per cent., medium greasy and secured 15 to 20 per cent., inferios and faulty 20 to 25 per cent., good scoured 15 per cent.; short faulty merinos not wanted; greasy crossbred?, any change in buyers' favour; scoured and slips, change in.sellers' favour.
