FAT STOCK MARKET. The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report— . At Westfield yard 3 on Wednesday fat cattle were yarded in farge numbers of first-clasa quality, and prices were firmer, although quotations are the aame, prime oxen selling to 39s 6d, others 36s to 38s, cows and heifers 34s to 38s, steers suld at from £9 to £l7 17s 6d, cows and heifers £5 to £lO 10s. A draft of 20 steers from Messrs H. and J. Goodfellow, Panmure, averaged £l6 Is. and 20 steers fiom Messrs R. and W. Gollan. Panmure, averaged £ls 10s; 4u steers from the North .averaged £ls 2a, and 33 steers small but well fatted, from Mr F. Macdonald, Pukiwara, realised £l3. Veal calve 3 were penned in large numbers, and sold at late rates. Heavy vealers sold at from £4 15s to £5 155,. medium Weights £3 to £3 18s, lighter weights £2 to £3, smaller 18s to 38s, small and fresh dropped 3s to 15s. Sheep came forward in extra large numbers, and improved in prices.- Best qua'ity wethers soloyat from 36s to 29s 6d in wool, shorn do. 23s to 28s, ewes, shorn 15s 6d to 20s, hoggets 15s to 20s 6d. Lambs in full supply. Extra well fatted sold at from 153 3d to 19s 9d, others 9s 6d to 14s 9d. Pigs came forward in full supply, and sold at late rates. No baconers yarded. Large porkers £2 8s to £3, porkers 28s to 425, slips 18a to 255, Weaners 10s to 15s.
