TE KUITI BOWLING CLUB.
FIRST OPEN TOURNAMENT. The first open tournament promoted by the Te Kuiti Bowling Club was opened on the local green yesterday morning. Eight outside entries were received, teams from Te Awamtitu and Hamilton, representing the Waikato, while six rinks from various Auckland clubs entered. Two local teams are also commpeting, and soma good contests are being fought. Unfortunately the weather, after a protracted dry spell, broke on Thursday evening, and a good downpour was experienced during the night. However, yesterday morning was fine though somewhat windy and a good start was made with the games. Following are the teams competing:
