GERMAN SUBMARINE RAMMED.
OFF SCOTTISH COAST. DESTROYER RESCUES CREW. Received Tuesday, 10.20 p.rrj. London, Tuesday. The German submarine UlB was detected on the northern coast of Scotland during the morning. The patrol reported ramming at noon, and the submarine was not again sighted for an hour, when the crew were seen on deck flying the white flag. The deßtroyer Garry came alongside as the vessel foundered, and rescued three officers and 23 of the crew, one being drowned.
