HONOURS FOR ARMY.
BRITISH TROOPS' ACHIEVEMENT. GENERAL HAIG'S TRIBUTE. Received Tuesday, 11.30 p.m. London, Tuesday. After the defeat of the Prussian Guards, General French directed General Haig to issue an army order thanking the First Army Corps under General Haig for the stand agninßt fifteen fresh battalions of the German Guards, who took part in the attack. Since General Haig'B troops arrived at Ypres they successfully defeated the twenty-third, twentysixth, and twenty-seventh German reserve corps, and the thirteenth active army corps, in addition to the Guards.
