The High Commissioner's cable, dated November 21st, ia as follows Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot: — Mutton.—The market is quiet, and prices have declined. Canterbury, 1} 15-16 d; North Island, 5 13-16' d. . Lamb.—Dull sale for lamb. Prices hava declined, partly owing to competition with this seasm's Australian stock. Canterbury twos, 6§d; heavyweight, 6f 1; other than Canterbury, 6Jd. Beef. —No alteration in the market Bince last week. New Zealand hinds, 6 13-16 d; fores, s|d. - Chilled Beef.—The market is affected by a decrease in arrivals. Hinds, 6fd; fores, s§d. Butter.—The market ia firmer, with active demand for high grades. Danish, steady, 139s to 1423; New Zealand, firm, 1263 to 130s; tinsaltad, 128s to 1325; Australian, firm with more inquiry, 124s to 1235; Siberian, fair demand, 1183 to .120s; Irish creamerv, slow, 1243 to 130s; Argentine," steady, 120s to 1245. Cheese.—The market is firm, with an upward tendency. Canadian, white and coloured, 76a to, 77a. Cannot quote prices for New Zealand cheese. The Corinthja ii in dock discharging now. Wool.—The market is strong for all stocks, and advancing for all grades of medium and coarse crosshreds, but la a shade weaker for all grades of Merinos and fine crossbreds.
