POLITICAL CAMPAIGN.

Mr F. Shortland, Independent Reform candidate for the Taumarunui elecotrate, haa spent the last wepk in touring the backblocks sppaaking at Mahoenui, Paemako, Pio Pir», and Aris. He tlso toured the Tangitu block and Waimiha, and last night tho delivered an addrasß at the Theatre Royal, Taumarunui. The candidate had an excellent reception at all the places visited.

MR JENNINGS' TOUR

Mr W. T. Jennings, Opposition candidate for the electorate, concluded his meetings at the Waitara end of the district on Tuesday, having been well received throughout. On Thursday evening, the candidate addressed the settlerß at Mairon, Mr R. Chestnut occupying the hair. At tho conclusion of his address Mr Jcnninpa received a hearty vote of thankF. Yesterday afternoon and evening Mr Jennings visited Ngapaenga and Waitanguru and addressed a good meeting at the latter place in the evening.

MR WILSON ON TOUR

Mr C. K. Wilson held a meeting last night at Urulu. It was a record attendance for the district. On tho whulo the speaker wan received with enthusiasm, hut a small section, most ly introduced from outßide, caused a little noise.
