DOMINION WAR LOANS.
HIGH COMMISSIONERS SCHEME. IMPERIAL GUARANTEE. London, Wednesday. The Hon T. Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, has formulated a scheme to secure the Imperial Government's financial assistance for the Dominions during war time. He arranged a deputation' to Mr Lloyd George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, in which South Africa and Canada joined, but Au«trala did not participate. After discussion with Mr Lloyd George and the governor of the Bunk of England, the Chancellor agreed to meet the deputation's wishes. The Government agreed to guarantee the Bank of England for money required by Canada, South Africa and New Zealand, an amount to bu included in the next Imperial war loan. The scheme secures money at a rate not exceeding 4 J per cent. South Africa has received seven millions, and it is understood that New Zealand has received two millions. Canada ha 3 also received assistance.
