EMPRESS THEATRE. To-nighi's programme at the above theatre will be of local interest as the pictures shown will include the Labour Day procession, opening of the local bowling season, and the ribbon dance as recently performed at the patriotic concert. The pictures will be screened during the remainder of the present week. The star picture is entitled "A Day of Days," and stands out amongst the best of Sims On Thursday and Friday evening a complete change of programme, including a new star feature will be screened. PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE. "The finest picture yet seen" was the unanimous verdict of laast evening's audience, and the opportunity will bo offered to these who missed last screening to see the great star tonight, which i 3 entitlej "Tracked Across the Atlantic." A new departure in the realm of picturedom has been arranged for by the management and what is known as serial films, wi'l start this evening and instalment screened each week. The title of the Berial film is "Lucille Love," a picture of 30,000 feet, 2000 feet of which will be shown this evennig. Crowded houses are viewing this picture in Auckland, and it ha 3 received the hall mark of popular approval. . ThurEday and Friday's change includes the star picture, "The Near to Return Road."
