RAILWAY TIMETABLE.

•ALTERATIONS IN RUNNING. The annual adjustment of timetable, which/ takes place in respect "to the various train services in November has this year materially altered the services at Te Kuiti. The chief alterations are in connection with the through express trains the speed of which is accelerated. The alteration in the time of departure of the night expresses makes the crossing of thesf trains at a point further south. The train from Auckland, which has been.altered to leave at S. 50 p.m. instead of 9.15 will arrive at Te Kuiti at 3.20 while the train from Wellington whish has hitherto crossed the Auckland train at Te Kuiti, will henceforth arrive ■ at 2.18 ■a.rrj., or just about .an hour after the other train has passed. The day express, which has.hitherto left Aack land at noon, will ''leave forty- rain utes later, and arrive at Te Kuiti at 5.15 p.m., while the present morning epxress from Te Kuiti to Auckland, will leave, at 10:2 a.m. instead of 11.20 'a.rn.,' and will arrive at Auckland, at 2/55 p.m. The local trains hav« been altered to suit the express timetable, but the tiiries of arrival and departure -at Te Kuiti have not been greatly affected, as will be Been by the timetable which is published in another column of this issue.
