BOWLING.
Monday next having been fixed qb the official opening day of the Te Kuiti Bowling Club, active steps are being taken to have everything in readiness fo the occnsion. Visitors, are expected from Te Awamutu and Tauraarunui, and providing the weather ia favourable a highly enjoyable day should b spent. Tha dates for the Open Tournament promoted by the club have been fixed for November 27th and 28th by which time the groen should be in firs* class playing order. It is early yet to form a conclusion as to the probable number of entries, but good support has been promised in the Waikato and several Auckland clubs will also ba represented. Among the local players good form is being shown by tho old brigade, whle Bovaral of the colts show pro mise. Tho team which haß been regarded as the club's representative combination for the past two or three seasons should again be a formidable combination this season. All the members of the team are Bhowing good form and should bo at thGir best when tournament time rolls round.
