LABOUR DAY CELEBRATIONS.
—— C* RUNDLE BENEFIT. We are asked to remind oil, and more particularly those taking part in the procession on Monday, that at 1.30 p.m. sharp the participants in the procession must bo at the Fire Brigade station, which place they will leave promptly at 2 p.m. and wend their way down Taupiri street along the EBplanede, turning into Ilora street at Wells' and Sons corner, thence to the sports gronud. The following will ha the order of those taking part in the procession: Oparure Band, Fire Brigade, Oddfeliov«p, Druide, Rechabites, Trades, *riuat original Maori costumes, most; original pakeha costumes, most tastefully decorated dressed children in decorated perambmtors, Best turned out children accompanied by pet or pots, motor cars, best decorated ladies' bicycles, best gent's, do. most original child's costume, and lastly those who desire to mcke the occasion successful and npectacmtlura they can, and for which a special prize will bo awarded. All school children who march in tha procession will bo admitted to the grounds i'reo of charge, otherwise they will be asked to pay for admission at the gate. It is hoped the public will turn out in large numbers and mark Ueir appreciation of Te Kuiti's first Labour Day demonstration. In tha evening a picture and nigger minstrel show will be given in the Peoples' Picture Palace. The last prizes offered are by Mr Hewitjon, who has given two pictures to ba framed after chosen. They will be allotted on Monday at the sports. Entries for all events will be received on the domain, in addition to those already in the handof the secretaries. All prizes will be handed over at the nigger mins strel show, in tho evening, during the interval.
