Before the House adjourned the Pramier .moved th 9 House record its sympathy wiht thß Countess of Liverpool on tbe death of her brother, Captain the Hon. Charles Monk, of the Coldstream Guards, killed while serving his King and the Empire in Frame. The Premier spoke feelingly of the good work done by Lady Liverpool since her arrival in the Dominion, and said he fait sure the whole of the people would join in expressing sympathy with her in her sad beraavement., Sir Joseph Ward fully endorsed all the Premier said, and the motion was passed.
