WESTFIELD FAT STOCK MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency reports: At Westfield yards on Wednesday fat cattle Were yarded in extra large numbers, of good quality, ar.d declined in price on last week's quotation, owing ti the freezing buyers being unabls to compete to the same extant as the last few weeks. Best osen sold to 39s 6d, others 36s to 38ss cows and heifers 35a to 375. Steer; Bold at from £lO 5s to £l7 15s, cows and heifers £5 to £ll 15s; a draft of 21 steers from Messrs K. and W. Gollan, Panmure, averaged £ls 19s; 22 steers from Okahukura averaged £ls 19s; 20 cows from the same place averaged £8 6a. Veal calvsa came forward in full supply, and sold at fully late rates; heay'v vealera £4 5s to £5 2s 6d, medium weights £3 to £4, lighter sorts 35a to £2 15s, smaller 20a to 335, small and fresh-droppad 3s to 15s. Sheep were yarded in extra large numbers, and.sold at last week's rates. Woolly wethers 18s 9d to ' 293 3d shorn wethers 20a to 265, woolly ewes 18a 9d to 25a 6d, shorn ewes 18s to 24s 9d, shorn hoggets to 19s 9d, •woolly hoggsta 273 6d. Lambs were yarded in large numbers and sold at for best quality, from 19s 9d to 223 66, others 13s to 19s, store lambs 7s tol 256 d. Pigs came forward in full numbers and sold at better prices Large baconers £3 18s to £4 10s, baconers £3 3s to £3 17s, large porkers £2 10s to £3, porkers -Soa to 45a, weaners • 10s to 17s, sow and young realised £5 Is.
