We draw the attention of readers to the fact that the Presbyterian Sunday School anniversary tea , and social will be held on Monday evening, instead of Wednesday, as previously advertised. The reason for the change of date is to enable all adherents, and other friends, to be present at the People's Picture Palace on Wednesday evening, when the proceeds are to be devoted to the Huntly Widows' and Orphans' Fund. The suitability of pumice noil for the growing of garden stuff haa frequently been exemplified and the garden attached to the To Kuiti Bank of New Zealand bears striking testimony to the Buitability of tho soil for oulbs. The excellent show of various kinds of bnlbH grown in the garden by Mr T. Ogior is a beautiful sight, and 13 a convincing demonstration of what can bo dono on the light pumice land. The blooms are to be cut and sold at Miss shop in Rora street and tho proivods devoted to the fund for thn relief "i-t those afflicted by the Huntly mining disaster.
