LIMESTONE DEPOSITS.
ESTABLISHING OF PLANTS. In respect to the suggestion bv Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district that suitable plants should be established by the Government in order to supply lime to the settlers for fani'ing operations the following letter has been received from the Prime Minister by Mr Wilson: "With reference to your letter of the 2nd July regarding lime deposits in the King Country, and suggesting the establishment of a suitable plant to procure the lime for farming operations, I have the honor to inform you that the question of providing cheaper lime for farmers has been under consideration by the Government for soma time. The agricultural chemist,' who is at present abroad, bas been authorised to make enquiries in the matter, and when a report is furnished en his return to New Zealand the whole question will be gone into."
