TE KUITI RIFLE CLUB.
A meeting of the above club was held in the Waitomo County Council office on Wednesday afternoon last. Mr G. Berry (president) presided. The president reported that a range on Mr Somerville's. property at Te Kumi had been iripaceted, and passed. The Defence Department will give a grant for laying off same provided that; a three years' lease of the range be obtained. The matter of th 9 lease ia now being arranged with Mr SomerviHe, and it ia anticipated tbatiit will be duly signed and in order, in a fortnight's tiaae. The president also stated that when the club was formed officers were appointed, and it was his intention to retain these officers' for the time being. It is anticipated that memberß of the club who are desirous of being drilled will be able to undergo a course of instruction at an early date.
It was resolved that the annual meeting be' held in the Waitomo County Council nffice on Wednesday next, September 2nd 3.30 p.m. All members are requested to attend.
