NATIONAL PROVIDENT FUND.
A rapid increase in the membership of the National Provident Fur.d followed the lecture propaganda undertaken last year, the third annual report of the Provident fund Board showing that the contributors totalled 5791, and their contributions £22,719 per annum, as against 2660 and £ll,726 twelve months prior to the close of the year. The latest figures regarding enrolments show that the number stands at 7538. The expense of managemene consequent upon increased income has dropped to 19 per cent of income. Maternity benefit to the amount of £698 was paijd o 119 contributors during the year.
