EMPRESS PICTURES To-night will ba the last screening of "Napoleon: From His Coronation to S. Helena, "supported by an l attractive prorgamma of scenic, educational, dramatic and comic films. On Thursday and Friday evenings what is described as the finest motion picture, yet screened, "The Last Days of Pompeii," will be shown, and which is 7000 ft in length, depicting the eruption of Vesuvius, and oth'r bewildering episodes, 50 gladiators and 15 lions in the arena. Tho whole picture is a reproduction of the old Roman atmosphere BOWLING CLUB BALL Matters in connection with the forthcoming ball under the auspices of the Te Kuii Bowling Club are now Well forward. The Hdies' committee have the supper arrangemeta in hand and the hall decorations are being attended to by a special committee. Mr A. Julian, the club president, who has undertaken the secretarial duties in connection with the function, is leaving nothing undone to ensure ths success of the ball. It is anticipated that a considerable numbar of visitors will be present and preparations are being made on a scale to provide for a large gathering.
