FAT STOCK MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency report:— At Westfield yards on Wednesday fat cattle came forward in average numbers, and for prime oxen bidding was keen at fully late rates Prime oxen sold to 32a 6 j per 1001b, othera 30s to 31s, cows an heifers 26s to 29s per 1001b, steers sold at from £7 10s to £l3 15s, cows and heifers to £lO, a truck of eight prime steers from Messrs Shepherd Broß., Pimi, averaged £l3 2s 6d. and 64 small steers and stagij, Mr H. R. Patsrson, Motiti Island, averaged £lO 0s 6d. Veal calves came forward in average supply, and sold at fully lato values. Heavy vealers sold at from £5 5s to £5 18s, others £4 to £4 19s, medium weights £3 to £3 18s, smaller £2 2s to £2 18s, small and fresh dropped 3s to 38s. Sheep were yarded in usual numbers, and showed no improvement in values, though quotations are higher. Prime wethers sold at from £1 9s to £1 149 3d for a pen of 20 wethers from Opotiki, which were bought by R. Cochran, Devonport; in-feriorly-fatted wethers 18a 6d to £1 6s 9d, heavwyeights, £1 Is to £1 4s 9d, others 18a 3d to £1 0s 9d, hoggets first quality 17s 6d to 20s, others 14s 3d to 16s 9d. Pigs came forward in good supply a?.>d sold at high values. Large baconera £3 8s to £4 Is, baconera £2 18s to £3 7a. large porkers £2 8a to £2 17s, porkers £1 15s to £2 ss, slips £1 to 26a 6d, no weanerd yarded. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—

TE KUITI SALE At Te Kuiti, on 15th inst., we had an entry of 605 heßd of cattle and 3595 sheep. The latter had come over bad roads, snd through heavy rain the previous day, consequently they did not look at their beat, etill their condition showed that they were sound, good constitutioned shaup. Competition for heifers was particularly keen, and every pen sold under the hammer with an unsatisfied damand. We quote Forward wethers 21s 6d to 23s 9d, store wethers 17s tid to 20s 3d, hoggets 12s 9d to 16s, two, four and six tooth uwes in lamb to Romney rams 22a 6J to 26s Id, fresh full-mouth ewea in lamh 20s to 23s 9d, ag«?d ewes in lamb T7s 6d to 20s, stud Lincoln ewea 375, stud Romney ewes 27a 6d, fat cows £5 15s to .£6 7s 6d, fresh conditioned cows .£4 10s to £5, forward three and a half to four year old steers £9, fresh three year steers to £7 ss, forward two and a ha4f year stenrß £6 10a, store stetrs, two to two and a half year old, were at high values, £5 2a to £5 18s, two year old steers £4 10s to £5, bad coloured two year old steers £3 10s to £3 15s, fair calves £2 4s, poor sorts 25s to 30a, heavy draught mare £35.

SANDON HOGGET SALE Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held their first Sandon hogget sale of the season on 16th inst., in yards kindly lent by Mr H. J. Fagan. Theru was a very good attendance of the public and besides a number of local buyers, there were others present from Wanganui, Waverley and the Waikato. The entry comprised 7484 sheep on account of the principal turnip graziers of the district, and comments, were most favourable on the quality of the stock, a great many expressing the opinion that it was quite equal to any yarding of hoggets ever offered. Competition was good right throughout the sale, and only 622 sheep were turned out unsold. Prictß realised from 13s 6d to 21s.
