The Davis Cup match between Britain and France was completed yesteday, when Mavrogordato beat Decjgis, 6—l, 7—5, 7—5. Parke csmpleted Britain's triumph by beating Germot, 7—, 6—l, 6—3. The Westminster Gazette eays that the selection of an English team doea not give hope for a good showing against Australasia. Apparently Britain does not possess a good doubles team but Roper Barrett, and Mavrogordato are not considered to be England's best. The German Davis Cup team meets the winners of the Canadian-Austra-lian tie on the Country Club's gounds in Pittsburg on July 30th and 31st and August Ist. Canada and Australia meet on the Onwentsia Club grounds; near Chicago, on July 23rd, 24th, and 25th. The British players meet the winners of the tie between GermanyCanada, and Australia at the Longwood Cricket Club's grounds on August 6th. The Americans will defend the Cup at the Testside Tennis Club grounds, Long Island, on August 13th 14th, and 15th.
