McKinnon Wood, Under Seccretary for Scotland, across the face with a horse whip in Portland Placo yesterday. They were arrested and wore fined £1 or 14 days' hard labour. The women struggled violently as they were romovtd from the Court. Other suffragettes attempted to burn Cockonhall, in Cbester-le-street, belonging to Lord Durham, but the blaze was extinguished.
