FAT. STOCK MARKET Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report: 1 — On Wednesday, at our weekly Westfield fat stock market, cu» supr ply of beef numbered 338 head. There was a steady demand, but generally values were about 10s per head below last week's quotations. Choice ox to sold to 31s, prime 27s 6d to,'29a, cow and heifers 23s to 28s; steers ranged in price from £7 to £l3 6d, cows and heifers £4 15s to £ll 7s 6d. The--59 fat and young calves were short of requirements, and met with a further advance in price. Runners to £5 17s 6d. No heavy suckers offered. Medium suckers £2 15s to £3 10s, lighter £1 15s to £2 12s, small 18s to 28s, fresh dropped 3s t° 10s. There was a heavy yarding ■of mutton. Prime sheep declined to the extent of Is to si 6d per head. Other classes sold at' prices which were much the samß as last report. Extra heavy prime weihefs„29a 3d to 30s 3d, heavy prime 25s to 27s,medium to heavy 23s to 24s •9d,' unfinished 2'l's to 22s 6d, best heavy prime ewes 213 Gd t0.26s 3d, good 18s to 21s,:ctbera 14s to 17s 6d.
