ASHBURTON UNDER NOLICENSE [BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ' Ashburton Monday. An addresg was given to night by Mr H. D. Bedford under the auspices of the Ashburton No-license Council, when the following resolution wag unanimously carried:— "That this meeting of over 500 people emphatically contradicts the atatement carried by resolution at a recent local meeting of less than SO persona that no-license has enforced debasing and degrading systems and practices upon Ashburton, and this meeting further affirms that in Ashburton no-licenße has considerably reduced drinking and drunkanness and all its attendant evil 3."
