A MEDITERRANEAN FLEET.
WORLD CRUISE SUGGESTED. Owing to the improved international situation, and the quickened delivery of ships, the Admiralty will accelerate the sending of a battle squadron of Dreadnoughts to the Mediterranean. It is hoped the Admiralty will base three of . the battle cruisers now in the Mediterranean and the gift ship New Zea land on Gibraltar, as tre nucleus of an Imperial squadron, free to cruise in the Atlantic or the Pad fie, according to political circumstances. The Telegraph: recommends the sending of the Imperial v squadron t3 the Cape, New Zealand, Australia and Vancouver, to bring, via the Panama Canal, the Dominion representatives to the Naval Conference, which will coincide with the celebration of the Prince of Wales' 21st birthday.
