CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

A meeting of the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce was held yesterday. Mr Moatyn Joneß, president, occupied the chair and there was a good attendance. . , , L j. It was resolved that the letter from the general manager of railways in answer to a request for a timetable to suit high school pupils from the north and aettlerß frum the south, be replied to, making suggestions. It was received to write to the Minister for Public Works and the member for the district,Mr C. K. Wilson, with a view to improving the Auck-land-Wellington main road. It was also decided to draw attention to the necessity of expending the grant of £2OO voted for the Te Kumi-Hanga-tiki road. A generul discusuion on roading matters resulted in the decision to hold a general meeting uf the Chamber Co consider the subjoct and Bubmifc outstanding requirements to the authorities.
