PIO PIO MEDICAL SOCIETY.
The first annual meeting since the incorporation of the society was held at Pio Pio on April 18th. Mr Wall was in the chair, and a large number of subscribers were present. Mr Wall gave a short address detailng the work done by the committee since the last meeting. On the motion of Messrs Butcher and D. MacKenzie the report and balBRCe-Bfceet as read were adopted. On the motion of Messrs M. A. MacKenzie and J. Trust a vote of thanks was accorded the retiring committee for the work the? had done in the interests of the scheme. It was unanimously decided that the following recommendation be made to the incoming committee: "That an effort be made to collect from Mr G. Elliott the sum of £l6 7s deducted by him for personal expanses as this was unauthorised by the committee." A vote of thanks was accorded to Dr McLeod for the efficient manner in which he had done hi 3 work and for having at all times done his best to help the committee. A vote of appreciation was also passed to Messrs Broadfoot and Finlay for generously donating £lO towards the scheme, they having gratuitously done all the legal work in connection with the incorporation of the society. The following officials were appointed:—President, Mr J. Wall; vice-presidents, Messrs Boddy and Burrow: auditor, Mr L. C. Harton; committee, Messrs Livingstone, J. Smith, H. Voyce, D. j->. MacKenize. Lindsay, Verry, D. C. Anderson, E. T. Bailey, E. W. T. Burnell, R. MacKenzie, 0. Old, D. H. Leith, J. Trust, M. A. MacKenzie, J. Johnston.
