FAT STOCK SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Merean-. tile Agency report:— At Weatfield yards on Wednesday, fat stock was yarded in larger numbers than usual and psices darlined in value on last week's rates, best oxsn selling to 32s per 1001b. others 28s to Sfls. Cows and ueifers 25s to 295. Steers £7 to £l2 17s 6d, cows £4 to £ll 10s, one extra choice ficm Mr J. Pohlan, Matamata, £l3 17s 6d. A truck of cows, Mrs J. Pohlan, Matamata, averaged £lO 13s 6d. Calves came forward in very largo numbers. and sold a ahada easier. Heavy vealera £3 15s to £4 83, medium weights £2 10s to £3 10s, lighter sorts 30a to 48s, others 20s to 283,5ma1l ard freshdropped Ss to 18s. Sheep came forward in good supply and sold at lower rates than last weeki Beat wethers sold at from 28s to 35s Gd, for a small pen from Mr G. T. Smith, Paparata, others 22a 6d to 279 9d, heavy ewes 21a 6d to 27s 3d, other ewes 19s 3d to 203 6d. .Hoggets were panned in average numbers. Best quality 15s 6d to 19a 3d, others 13s 6d to l'sa 3d. Pigs ware panned in average numbers, and ?old at late quotations. Bac.onefS £2 10s to £3.Ba, large porkers £2 8s to £2 14s, porkers 30s to 455, slips 25s to 30s, weaners'lOs to 14s 6d.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their .Tohnsonville sale as follows: —Ws bad a fair yaring of cattle and a good yarding of sheep, which sold readily at last sales rates. Prime bullocks £ll 12s fid to £l2 2s 6r3, lighter sorts £lO 12s 6d, prima vealers 38s 6d to 445, prime wethers 23s 5d to 23s lid, prime ewes 18s 6d to 19s 9d, heavier soris 20 . Gd, prime lambs 13s 9d to 16s 4d.

STOCK SALES, The Farmers' Co-ooerative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— At Te Awamutu on Saturday, we had a small entry of beef, but a full y:r3ing of store cattle. There was a good inquiry for cattle, and we sold the whole yarding. Fit cowa. sold from £5 10a to £7, fresh conditioned two and a half year steers £3 10s, two and a half year steers £5 14s to £G Is, eighteen month steers ■£i 2s to £4 10a. store cows £3 s"a to £4, cowo and calves £4 15s to £5 18s, eighteen month empty heifers £2 17s to £3, steer calves 35s to 433, mixed calves 25s to 345, heifers in calf £4 10s to £5 ss. weaner pigs 28?, shorn' lambs lis 6d. At Morrinsville on May Bth we had a full yarding oE stock—loß9 sheep, 727 head of cattle, and a fair amount of sundries. There was inquiry ~ior all classes of stock, and in moat cases keen competition, consequently the whole yarding was disposed of at advanced prices.
