SLY GROG CASES.

TAUMARUNUI COURT. In the Tsumarunui Court on Thursday, a novel liquor-selling point was derided. E. V. Wakeman, of Taihape, was charged with advertising: "Order in time; get from the railway before the holidays " Tais was held by the pulics to constitute soliciting. Defendant wa* fined 20s and costs. A man named Conrad, with several aliases, who did not apnear, was charged with sly grog selling. Defendant had bought twelve bottles of whisky at Kihiktbi, and was caught at Ougarue by the police leaving from the "wrong" side of the tram. Accused, was convicted, and fined ±4O and costs, with the alternative of three months' imprisonment.
