W« held our monthly sale in the above yards on Saturday the 18th inst., when wa yarded 602 head of eattle amongst which were soma really good lines of 2?.- to year steers. These wera keenly competed for, the majority being purchased to go to Masterton. All lines of cattle sold and we had practically a total' clearance. We quote; —3 year steers £6 to £7 4s, 21- vear to 3 years steer £5 2? 6d to £6, 2 year steers £4 3a to £4 -i53, f?.t cowa £5 3s to £6 12s, fat light steers £7 43 to £7 18s, bulls £3 Is to £5 15s, empty cows £2 18s to £4 10s, yearling slseri £2 18a to £3 ss, good calves 32s to 425, small and weedy calves 18a to 30s, empty yearling TTeifers £2 10s to £3, purebred Hereford cow and calf 23gns to 20gns, purebred Hereford cow 17£gns, purebred Hereford bull Ggns to 12gna, Hereford Shorthorn cross, empty heifers £4 10s, pigs, slips lis 6d to 15s, weansrs Bs. TAUMARUNUI SALE. We held our monthly sale in thßsa yards on the 21st inst. uwing to the wst day a large number of entries did not come forward. Hovrevcr, all stock yarded changed hands at price 3 equal to those ruling in the Waikato. OHADPO SALE. We held our usual sale in these yards on the 21st inst. Owing to the wet weather the line of 600 wsthers did not come forward. The line of empty ewes advertised made from lis 3d to 14s 6d, woolly lambs 12s. other stock at late rates.
