CAPTURE OF VERA CRUZ. ANTI - AMERICAN DEMONSTRATIONS. HUNDREDS IN DANGER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Cocyrlgat Received Friday, 8.25 p.m. New York, Friday. It is reported from San Diego, California, that anti-American rioting has broken out at Es Lada and hundreds of Americans are reported imperilled. The Monitor and Cheyenne have been despatche from San Diego to rescue the Americans. Washington, Friday. The statement thai; Villa agreed to join the Federals against the Americans is denied. It is generally believed, however, that Villa is merely waiting his opportunity to attack the Americans, if possible, with impunity. EXCITEMENT IN MEXICO. DEMONSTRATIONS BY MOBS. POSITION OF FOREGINERS.
Received this day, 11.45 a.m. Wasshington, Friday. A train arrived at Vera Cruz from Mexico City with British and German refugees aboard. It is reported that mobs in Mexico City trampled the American flag in the dust and demonstrated outside the American Club.smashing windows and shouting insults. The position of Americans is reported to be critical.
