BOROUGH LIGHTING PLANT.
DUPLICATION NECESSARY
At last meeting of the Te Kuiti Borough Council a letter was received from Messrs Fraser and Sons concerning the producer now in use and stating the present small defects could be put right within four days, but in order to carry out the work the lighting plant would require to be stopped. In view of the desirabiltiy of installing a duplicate plant the firm offered to instal another producer on approval. The matter was discussed at length, the electrical engineer stating he was not sufficiently acquainted with the producer to recommend it. He had seen producers satisfactorily worked.
it was pointed out that the only method to adopt to get the present plant working properly was to install another prodcfr, and in this the engineer concurred. It was finally decided to authorise the installation of another producer, the Council to be fully safeguarded in the event of the plant then not working satisfactorily.
