FASHION'S LATEST ABSURDITY.
TOE RINGS FOR PaRISIENNES. By Telegraph..—Press Association.—CopjTiglit Paris, Monday. One of the daintiest Parisian actresses, Mdlle. Jeanne Provost, has set all Pan"3 talking. She has started a new fashion by appearing in a crowded lobby of the Theatre Rejane, during the dreßs rehearsal of a new play, with bare feet shod with pretty sandals, which were fastened around by a cross ribbon in the old Greek style. "It is delightf jl," declared Mdlle. Provost, "to have one"tj feet free. Why should women crowd them into narrow boots, with 4in heel?" Jewellers in Paria are already having toe-rings made for those ladies who take to wearing sandals. This is not the first freak fashion introduced by Mdlle. Provost. It was this little lady who was the first of her sex to appear in public in the trouser skirt.
