DEATHBED MIRACLE.
BLIND MAN'S SIGHT. RECOVERED AND LOST AGAIN. San Francisco, Monday. A remarkable instance of a blind man having bis sight temporarily restored on his deathbed is reported from Willows, California It was William Martin, aged 86, who, after years of blindness, had the consolation of being able to see the faces of those near and dear to him for one short hour before he breathed his IBBt.
For weeks the old man had prayed earnestly that he might have one farewell look at his wife and children. A'day or two before his death.as if by some miracle, he suddenly found himself once more in the possession of the sense of which he had so long been deprived. But it was only for an hour. While still, in his feeble wav, recognising and greeting those brought to his bedside, he was again stricken with blindness, an remained sightless to the end.
