NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
PRAISE FROM NEW YORK
A letter juat received by Mr E. Griffiths, a New Plymouth dairy produce merchant, from Boston, states that New Zealand butter has completely revolutionised the butter indutry of the the Pacific Coast and middle west, and has put Californian butter out of repute. It is verv much liked also in New York. The only drawback is that some lots have contained traces of preservative. The writer states, "One lot of New Zealand butter bought in New York was the 'slickest' piece of butter I ever saw. Its magnificent velvety texture and perfectly clear flavour has taken conceit out of some of our butter people, who have always had an idea they knew all about the butter business; but it is very evident we can get points from you." He predicts a great'y increased trade when the Panama Canal is opened.
