Own Correspondent. 1 A meeting of settlors and others interested in the supply of milk to the Matiere butter factory, was held at the Niho Niho Hall on March 2nth, to ' confer with Mr Brash and make arrangements for next season. There was a fair attendance of the public. Mr Demster, Government expert, and Mr Kay. New Zealand Dairy Association, wore present. Mr Braih said he was prepared to pav out next year the same aa this season —lid per lb. He would make arrangements with Tatu and Tokirimu with respect to carrying cream. Several questions were asked with respect to testing and satisfactorily explained by Messrs Brash, Gilbert, Kay and Demster. A meeting afterwards took place of the Ohura Co-operative Butter Factory Company. Mr Sandison, occudied the choir, introduce tha meeting to Mr Kay, of the New Zealand Dairy Association. Mr Kay said that he merely came in with the intention of inspecting the country, and he did not know of any meeting here until he met Mr Brash, who invited iiim to attend. If the country was suitable, and they could get a guarantee of 11)00 cows for four years, they were prepared to pay £1250 for the factory. Mr Sandison stated that he was taking Mr Kay around the district, and a meeting would be called later. Mr Dc-nison s"»id he thought they would ba foolish to lose a chance in the New Zealand Dairy Association. The marriage of Arthur James Butler 8011, son of the lati John Bell Leamington, to Esther Samuel, eldest daughter of Solomon Samuel, Niho Niho, took place at Cambilidge on March 18th. Mr Costain, who will shortly be leaving the district, will be entertained at a farewell social on April 3rd, at Ohura.
