MEETING AT TE KUITI. A meeting in connection with tha projected freezing works for Waikato and the King Country was held in the Municipal Hall, Te Kuiti, last night. There wss a" good attendance and Mr R. M. Somervilie presided. The meeting was addressed by Mr T. Cooper, who spoko on the same lines aa at other centres concerning the urgent nocessity of establishing works within easy reach of the district. The speaker also referred to the enthusiasm manifested in both Waikato and the King Country in connection with the project. The support already forthcoming was the strongest possible indication of the feeling of the farming community, and there was little doubt of the Ruccess of the movement. A number of questions were asked by those present, and details were fully discussed. A number of shares were taken up in the room and it is estimated the total already applied for will approximate clcse on two thousand. The shares have all been applied for without any canvass being made, and the support tendered to the movement throughout tha district is of the most encouraging nature.
