Some time ago a motion waa tabled with the Waikato Trotting Club, Hamilton, to win 3up the club's affairs This proposal was subject for consideration at the annual meeting last night. The mover said that since he had given notice of his motion he had had a conversation with Mr Mark, secretary of the Auckland Trotting Club, who had informed him that there were excellent prospects of the Waikato Club obtaining a totalisator permit. He therefore asked for permission to withdraw his motion. The secretary stated that last year's meeting had involved a loss to the club of £3B If another meeting was held without a permit, no doubt there would be a still further loss. He aßked how this would be met. Eventually it was decided not to let the elub die, and the date of the next meeting was fixed for January 20th.
