OPPOSITION ACTIVE.

The Leader of the Opposition, Sir Jos-ph Ward, will give a political address in Auckland Town Hall tomorrow night. The Mayor (Mr C. J. Parr) will preside.

On Friday afternoon delegates of the Liberal party from the different parts of the Tauranga electorate will attend a conference in Te Aroha. In the evening a complimentary dinner will be rendered Sir Joseph Ward and other members of Parliament. This will be followed by a public meeting at which Sir Joseph Ward and other members will give addresses, and reply to the recent utterances in Wellington of the Prime Minister. During the evening the official Liberal candidate for Tauranga will be introduced. Messrs W. D. S. Macdonald and J. C. Thompson delivered an address at Helensville on Monday evening, at the conclusion of whiuh the meeting expressed it confidence in the Liberal party and in Si: Joseph Ward as its leader. Wellington, 'Tuesday. Sir Joseph Ward has sent the following reply to Mr Hiram Hunter (president of the Social Democrtic party in Chistchurch) re the new Liberal - Labour Federation in that city: "In reply to your telegram, conduct your business as you think best. I have no right, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the decisions of yourself or any other section of the community.—J. G. Ward."
