HOME RULE BILL.
A GENERAL STATEMENT. PROMISED BY MR ASQUITH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —OopyrigHt London, Thursday. In the House of Commons to day Mr Asquith asked members to postpone a number of questions seeking details of the Ulster proposals. Hg promised a general statement on Monday next. The Times Bays it is rumoured that Mr Lloyd George is seeking to induce the Nationalists to agree to terms Sir Edward Carson can submit regarding Ulster, and that many of the Liberals are filling to meet Sir Edward in removing the time limit, but that the Nationalists at present refuse to agree to any further modification. The Daily Chronicle states that the Nationalists and the Government are in complete accord. Mr Joseph Chamberlain has telegraphed from the south of France hoping that the Irish covenant will be largely signed. Be adds that at this critical period of our history all should do their part.
