The overcrowded state of the Taumsrunui Hospital and the doubtful quality of the water supplied to the institution, was the subjsct of comment at the Waikato Hospital Board meeting yesterday, when Dr Douglas, Medical Superintendent, stated that at present there were thirteen cases in the institution, twelve of which were typhoid. There were complaints of the qualify of the water, ana he thought th° Borough Council should be prevailed upon to instal a better and cheaper service. The Board decided to approach the Borough Council on the matter.
